The COVID-19 pandemic has caused extensive disruption and challenges within the lives of young people. However, while there is good evidence to draw upon for advice and support, it is not always easily accessible for those who need it.
TRIUMPH are working with the Emerging Minds Network to support Co-RAY, a new project funded by the Medical Research Council and Westminster Foundation, that aims to support the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 11–16 during the pandemic.
Over the next 18 months, the Co-RAY project aims to make sense of what research says about how the mental health of young people aged 11–16 years has been affected by the pandemic.
The project will focus on:
- Making sense of what research says about how the mental health of young people aged 11–16 years has been affected by the pandemic.
- Supporting young people themselves to develop and share resources that will be helpful for other young people (particularly those aged 11–16 years old).
Take part in the project
Young people from the TRIUMPH Youth Advisory Group have helped to develop an activity to enable young people aged 11–16 to tell us what they think are the current mental health priorities for young people. This activity can be completed in groups or individually.
If you are are 11–16 years old or work with this this age group we invite you to take part.
Alternatively, we’d be very grateful if you could share this opportunity with any friends or colleagues working with 11–16-year olds that might be interested.
This is an opportunity for young people to make a difference to other young people’s mental health and a way for youth workers and educators to foster conversations about mental health and wellbeing with 11–16 year olds.
